of 93rd Highlanders (later the Argyll and Sutherland), when two squadrons of the Scots Greys and one of the Inniskilling Dragoons clashed with them. They were quickly followed by single squadrons of the 4th and 5thg Dragoon Guards, a further squadron of the 6th Inniskilling, with a squadron of the 1st Royal Dragoons in support. The clash lasted eight minutes. The the Russians broke and fled to the cheers of the British onlookers.
