The Amphitheatre was horse-shoe shaped. The open end gave access to the arena. At the top of the curve, the dais with its Mogul onion dome projected into the auditorium. In the center was a movable saluting base with a flagpole. All around the edge was a covered stand with raked benched or chairs divided into blocks, some reserved for the dignitaries, some for the military, six thousand places for the general public. The Dais comes with two guards from the 14th Ludhianna Sikhs.
