Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Band.
Presentation set.
£115.00p
A fine 13 piece marching band recalling the old Scots Greys in full dress uniforms. Originally the red feather plume which curves over the top of the bearskin cap was for trumpeters only. The white cap was introduced for the bass drummer in the 1890`s.
The set contain; Bandmaster, Band Sergeant Major with Covered Euphonium, Corporal Cornet Player, Cornet Player, Trombonist, Tuba (with cover), French Horn, Saxophone, Clarinet sergeant piccolo player, Side Drummer, Symbolist and Corporal Bass drummer.
The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards are an amalgamation of two famous regiments, the Carabineers (6th Dragoon Guards) and the Scots Greys (2nd Dragoons). Since amalgamation, the uniforms and traditions of the junior Scots Greys have tended to take precedence over the unique half dragoon, half light cavalry, blue uniform of the Carabineers.
